The toms i've gotten fairly adept at tuning so I like the drumset, Haven't gotten any complaints about it so I feel confident playing it.Also, I use a Ludwig Acrolite Snare, not the snare that came with the DX so, as far as the snare goes, I cant help you there, sorry man...

And here someone snagged a whole darn set of 'em. The pic above is straight off the CL ad where I found these. Dude, sorry man the 2 guys who I thought would know told me there not sure, I dont know if you got an answer from the other forums, so you might have to call TAMA on Monday..... Yep...there was a 3-4 year span where tama put the year first 82-xxxxx, 83-xxxx, etc.
